Data Scientist Intern


Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a Data Scientist intern to perform data extraction andcleansing, statistical analysis and data modeling work. This is an excitingposition, which provides the candidate an opportunity to impact real marketingbusiness, using big data processing techniques and statistical analysismethodologies.


•Research,design and develop metrics for search performance evaluation and user behaviormodeling.


•Studythe interaction among different types of metrics (financial, behavioral, andjudgmental) by conducting correlation, regression and other data mining effort.


•Performon-demand metrics calculation and analysis work.




Job Requirements


•Bachelor’sdegree (or above) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent


•Familiarwith R, SQL. Scala is optional but a big plus.


•Basicknowledge about Linux and Git.


•Experiencein machine learning, data mining or statistical analysis is preferred, withdetailed understanding of descriptive statistics, regression, time-series,hypothesis testing, etc.


•Experiencein Hadoop/Spark System is optional but a big plus.


•Attentionto detail and data accuracy.


•Goodcommunications skills, both verbal and written in English and Chinese


•Beable to work at least 4 days per week. Long term internship with eBay, at least6 months.
