Position Description: 
 
The FMP summer intern is designed to give members the opportunity to experience the entire finance function in Greater China. 
 
Length of Time
o  Full time during summer break. 
o  Can be extended after fall semester begins. 
o  Depending on availability.
 
Responsibilities 
o  Hands-on experience may include: financial planning, accounting, operations analysis, auditing, forecasting, treasury/cash management, commercial finance and Six Sigma quality
o  Combines job assignments and interactive seminars to equip you with exceptional technical, financial and business skills 
o  Led by senior GE professionals and mentors
o  Develops world-class financial leaders for exciting positions
 
Basic Qualifications: 
 
o  Bachelor or Master Degree to be expected on Jul. 2016
o  Excellent Academic Record (Please include GPA into your resume)
o  Demonstrated Leadership Experience
o  Analytical Ability
o  Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
o  Flexible/Adaptable/Mobile
o  Relevant Academic and/or Work Experience Preferred
 
Desired Characteristics: 
 
Major in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in manufacturing
Knowledge of LEAN
A strong commitment to a career in manufacturing
Coachable and focused on personal development
Results oriented
Strong time management skills 
Ability to adapt 
Proven self-starter
